Position Title: Director – Partner | Market Access & Commercial Strategy (Life Sciences)
About:
Our client is a recognized professional services firm with a strong presence in healthcare and life sciences. Their dedicated Market Access & Commercial Strategy practice helps pharmaceutical and biotech companies navigate pricing, reimbursement, and health policy challenges across Europe and globally. Known for deep expertise in payer engagement, HTA strategy, and commercialization planning, the team supports clients in launching and maximizing the value of therapies across multiple therapeutic areas.
Role Overview:
As a Director – Partner, you will be responsible for leading client relationships, delivering high-impact market access and commercial strategy engagements, and contributing to the growth and direction of the practice. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with deep understanding of the Dutch HTA system, extensive cross-functional expertise in market access and pricing, and a strategic commercial mindset. You will manage senior-level interactions with pharmaceutical clients and oversee complex projects across therapeutic areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic engagements in market access, pricing, and reimbursement across the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.
- Serve as a senior advisor to clients, particularly within the Dutch healthcare landscape, including engagement with HTA bodies such as ZiNL.
- Drive development and execution of launch strategies, access roadmaps, and value propositions across therapeutic indications.
- Manage and grow long-term client relationships while contributing to new business opportunities and proposals.
- Oversee multidisciplinary project teams and mentor junior staff.
- Shape practice development initiatives, including go-to-market strategy and service innovation.
- Represent the firm in industry conferences, client forums, and thought leadership events.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in consulting or within a pharmaceutical/biotech company, with a strong focus on market access and commercial strategy.
- Extensive knowledge of the Dutch HTA environment and reimbursement processes.
- Proven experience across multiple therapeutic areas, ideally including both global and regional project leadership.
- Strong leadership and client-facing skills, with the ability to advise senior stakeholders.
- Business development mindset with demonstrated success in winning and growing client accounts.
- Based in the Netherlands, fluent in both Dutch and English.
- Advanced degree in life sciences, public health, health economics, business, or a related field (MSc, MBA, PhD preferred).
