The job profile
Anticipating its next phase of international growth, APOC is seeking a new statutory CFO. This pivotal role will shape the company's strategic direction and long-term success, leveraging financial expertise to drive transformative growth, oversee substantial capital investments and maximize profitability.
In a fast-paced and demanding international environment, you will act as a supportive yet critical co-pilot to the CEO, contributing to significant change and further growth. You will be instrumental in utilizing the substantial investment from Egeria (past and committed) to accelerate APOC's global expansion. This includes oversight of investments in the lease asset base and inventory of commercial aircraft parts. To really add value to the business of APOC, the CFO needs commercial business acumen, and should speak and understand the technical language in the company.
To achieve the aforementioned strategy, greater reliance on analytical capabilities, informed decisions, business cases, and information is essential. Your role will involve professionalizing the finance function, standardizing decision-making processes to ensure swift yet thoroughly analyzed decisions, and elevating resources and processes to meet these demands. Additionally, you will drive a culture of quality awareness and discipline across the organization.

The ideal candidate
As the new CFO at APOC, you bring both financial expertise and personal leadership to the table. You are an inspirational and empathetic leader—someone who enables business growth while safeguarding financial health and driving performance, transparency, and control. With your structured approach and hands-on mentality, you thrive in a fast-paced and demanding international, asset-heavy environment. You have strong a strong commercial business acumen and have a natural fit with technical driven organizations.
Background:
- Experience in a (business oriented) senior finance role within an international, €100 mio+ business. Ideally within the aviation or industrial heavy machinery/manufacturing industry
- Thorough knowledge of and experience with private equity and financial markets is key to supporting the company’s growth strategy and securing funding
- Experience as a CFO: demonstrating ability to lead complex financial operations
- Continuous capital allocation assessment and debt awareness is key. Strong understanding required of a leasing balance sheet and impact of (debt) financing on growth of the business, balancing short term boost with long term sustainable growth
- Has a strong understanding of the critical role that clear and impactful management reporting and insights play in enabling leaders to make informed, effective, and aligned decisions that support the organization’s overall objectives
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, dynamic environment and effectively manage change and ambiguity
- Experience with both US GAAP and UK GAAP is considered a strong advantage
- Fluent in Dutch and English
