About The Role
As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring the high standards of our products and processes. You'll actively monitor production, implement improvements, and empower your colleagues to maintain exceptional quality. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver consistently excellent products.
Your Daily Adventure At Storio
- Hands-on Quality Assurance: Conduct regular and thorough inspections of products at various stages of production within Plant YPb, ensuring adherence to quality specifications and standards.
- Process Monitoring & Improvement: Observe and analyze production processes, identifying any deviations from established standards. You'll play a crucial role in recommending and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deviation Management: Accurately document and report any quality deviations or non-conformances, ensuring timely communication to relevant teams and contributing to effective resolution.
- Procedure Support: Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of clear and effective quality control procedures, work instructions, and checklists specific to Plant YPb's operations.
- Problem Solving: Participate in investigations of quality issues, utilizing problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and implement preventative measures within the plant.
- Training & Guidance: Provide support and guidance to production team members on quality standards, procedures, and best practices, fostering a culture of quality awareness on the plant floor.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the proper use and basic maintenance of quality control equipment, ensuring its accuracy and reliability.
- Material & Component Checks: Conduct inspections of incoming raw materials and components to verify they meet required quality standards before entering the production process.
- Proactive Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with production teams, supervisors, and other relevant departments regarding quality-related matters.
- Data-Driven Insights: Collect, record, and analyze quality data to track key performance indicators (KPIs). You'll contribute to management reports, providing valuable insights into our quality performance.
How You Make Your Mark
- Develop and maintain quality-related documentation, including SOPs, CTQs, and Operator Maintenance logs.
- Support the SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) department with analyses, investigations, and control systems.
- Conduct regular testing of materials, raw ingredients, and finished products.
- Plan, execute, and document regular audits and controls, including follow-up actions.
- Actively participate in improvement projects and support improvement teams.
- Demonstrate flexibility in taking on tasks, communicating effectively, and meeting deadlines.
- Proactively raise concerns if deadlines are at risk or adjustments are needed.

Education
- MBO (Senior Secondary Vocational Education): For many executive QC tasks, where you perform checks and follow procedures, a completed MBO education in a relevant field is often sufficient. This includes MBO levels 3 or 4 in areas such as:
- Food Technology
- Laboratory Technology
- Process Technology
- Technical training (depending on the industry)
- General operational technology
- HBO (Bachelor/Higher Professional Education): For more coordinating, managerial, or specialist positions within quality control, a junior HBO candidate will also be considered. Relevant HBO studies may include:
- Food Technology
- Chemistry
- Biotechnology
- Process Technology
- Quality Management
Extra Kudos For Experience
- Previous experience working in a production environment.
- Experience with process optimization and/or root cause analysis techniques.
- English is essential, Dutch and Polish are big pros
