Position: HSE Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi
Experience: Overall minimum10 years in HSE roles (minimum 5 years in UAE and 3 years in
supervision consultancy)
Previous experience in Provis/ Musanada projects
Project Type: HSE experience in fast-track or refurbishment projects
Qualifications: Degree in Engineering or Safety Management
Licenses/Certifications: NEBOSH, OSHAD, or IOSH certifications
Expertise: Risk assessment and compliance protocols, Authority guidelines
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Develop and implement the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management plan for the project.
2. Monitor compliance with HSE regulations on-site, ensuring all workers follow safety protocols.
3. Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure safety measures are implemented.
4. Review and approve the contractor’s HSE plan and site-specific safety procedures.
5. Ensure all site personnel receive proper safety training and adhere to safety practices.
6. Investigate incidents and accidents on-site, preparing detailed reports with corrective actions.
7. Maintain an HSE logbook documenting all safety-related activities, including incidents and inspections.
8. Ensure that all work on-site is carried out in accordance with environmental protection standards.
9. Implement emergency response plans and ensure workers are aware of safety protocols in case of
emergencies.
10. Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to ensure continual awareness of safety practices.
11. Monitor and report the effectiveness of safety measures to senior management.
12. Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigations for identified hazards.
13. Collaborate with contractors to rectify unsafe work practices and enforce HSE compliance.
14. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local regulations and international best practices in safety.
15. Ensure that safety inspections and audits are performed and that corrective actions are followed through.
