As our new Chief Technology Officer(CTO), you’ll shape and execute the long-term technology vision of LYNX. You’ll lead multi-disciplinary tech teams across Europe, drive innovation in a regulated financial environment, and translate complex IT topics into actionable business strategies.
You’ll work closely with other MT members to align technology with our business strategy, support growth, and deliver solutions that are secure, scalable, and client-centric.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a multi-year IT vision and strategy aligned with LYNX’s broader business goals.
- Create clarity around IT governance, architecture, policies, and processes.
- Scale teams and organizational structures in line with company growth, ensuring sustainability, strong team cohesion, and clear processes.
- Apply agile and scale-up methodologies to drive iterative development and customer-focused innovation.
- Champion a client-centric approach to technology that balances user needs, compliance, and reliability.
- Contribute to the company’s strategic direction by translating technological opportunities and risks into business-impacting decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with MT members (e.g., Finance, Operations, Marketing) to achieve company-wide objectives.
- Lead ~40 FTEs across ICT, DevOps, Engineering (Software Engineers & Data Analysts/Scientists), and InfoSec (functional).
- Provide direction, coaching, and performance management while strengthening collaboration across and beyond tech teams.
- Create opportunities for individual development and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure delivery of strategic regulatory projects such as DORA and the European Accessibility Act, covering Network Security, Identity & Access Management, Business Continuity, Incident/Change Management, and third-party risk.
- Oversee development and integration of internal platforms including LYNX+, CRM, and digital client files (Java, JavaScript, Python, Odoo, WordPress).
- Manage API integrations and multi-country tech setups.
- Drive improvements in project execution, output quality, and alignment between policies, dashboards, and delivery.
- Provide leadership on innovation, automation, and AI adoption in a regulated environment.
- Translate complex IT topics into clear business language for MT and company-wide communication.
- Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., DORA, MiFID) by embedding policies, controls, and monitoring structures.
- Partner with the CFRO on InfoSec topics and risk mitigation across tech operations.
- Identify and address IT risks within the enterprise risk management framework.
Requirements / Qualifications
- At least 10 years of proven experience in a senior IT leadership role (e.g., CTO, Head of Technology) in a regulated financial or FinTech environment.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams: ICT, software development, data science, and information security.
- Skilled in both agile scale-up methodology and traditional project management.
- Track record of managing and improving tech teams.
- Familiar with self-developed platforms, API integrations, and multi-country tech setups.
- Solid understanding of:
- ITIL v4 and similar ITSM frameworks
- Data management and development methodologies
- Information security standards and best practices such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, CIS
- Latest technologies, best practices, and suppliers
