To support continued growth, Allego is looking for a Financial Accountant with a strong affinity for Accounts Receivable (AR).

What you’ll be doing

No day is exactly the same. You will be part of a dynamic finance team responsible for maintaining accurate financial records while taking ownership of AR-related processes and improvements.

Your key responsibilities

General Accounting

Record daily financial transactions (assets, liabilities, income, expenses)
Prepare and post journal entries
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Prepare balance sheets and financial statements
Maintain accurate documentation of financial transactions
Assist with audits and compliance requirements
Contribute to process optimization and automation initiatives

Accounts Receivable (AR) Focus

Manage and monitor accounts receivable balances
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing
Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage collections
Resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams and customers
Perform AR reconciliations and aging analysis
Improve AR processes and cash collection cycles

Banking & Cash Management

Process bank statements and reconcile transactions
Support daily cash reporting
Assist with payment allocation and cash application

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Experience in a financial accounting role, with exposure to Accounts Receivable
Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O)
Strong Excel skills
Analytical mindset with attention to detail
Ability to work with international stakeholders
Proactive and structured working style
Willingness to work at least 3 days per week from the Arnhem office
