About us

Producthero is Google's largest CSS partner, active in all 21 countries of the CSS program. More than 12,000 webshops advertise via Producthero and strengthen their position in the Google Shopping auction. In addition to the CSS program, Producthero is a forerunner in developing data-driven tools that enable retail advertisers to improve their shopping advertisements. With clients ranging from Bol, Rituals and Nike to local webshops and with partnerships with more than 800 marketing agencies, we have a broad knowledge of the retail landscape. Which means that we can and want to help every type of webshop with best practices and improve their performance.

About the role

As an experienced backend developer, you will contribute to the ongoing development of our new platform and existing tools. You will work on new projects and play a crucial role in decisions related to architecture and data processing. Additionally, you will help modify and improve our current products. You will collaborate closely with your colleagues on the tech team, providing guidance and support, and contribute to a culture of professionalism and excellence within the team.

Get the feeling

You start the morning in a classy way, with a cup of coffee and your good ol' standup of course. You've regain some clarity on where you left off and dive straight into coding. You begin by reviewing the code you wrote yesterday, refining it, and pushing the latest changes to the repository. Everything seems to work fine, but you notice a bug in a new feature. You ping Arno, the team lead, on Slack to discuss a potential fix. Following that, you dive into implementing a new feature that you are very enthusiastic about. The morning flies by as you get into the flow, tackling challenges and writing clean, efficient code. After lunch, you join a brainstorming session with the team, sharing ideas and solving problems together. The day wraps up before you know it! It's time to log off, feeling accomplished and ready for the next day's adventures.

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance our current platform and tools efficiently and securely

Contribute to discussions on new developments, tools, and architecture

Actively participate in scrum sessions, including Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives

Maintain high code quality through Pull Requests, code scans, and unit tests

Identify bottlenecks and implement effective improvements

Document code and process decisions to facilitate knowledge transfer

Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies

About you

You are an enthusiastic and professional developer with 4+ years experience

You have knowledge of and experience with PHP, Laravel, PhpUnit/Pest, SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Docker, Linux, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
