Senior Controller Role
We are seeking a Senior Controller to work closely with the CFO and finance team to drive Caliber Global’s growth. The role demands someone eager to develop within a high-growth, international logistics environment.
The focus begins with fundamentals—solid financial accounting, financial reporting, business planning, modeling, and tax oversight for five legal entities. This position offers a clear path toward joining the management team (MT) within a short timeframe.
Location: Arnhem Office, reporting to the CFO.
 Team: Global finance department.
Responsibilities
- Ensure correct, timely, and complete execution of the planning and control cycle and management reports.
- Develop and execute profitability analyses and performance overviews.
- Optimize financial systems and processes.
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets and monthly consolidations (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash).
- Create monthly financial reporting packages for the executive team.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis for the CFO.
- Support monthly accounting close.
- Manage General Ledger (sales, COGS, expenses, AP/AR, bank statements) including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly/annual financial statements and variance reports.
- Strengthen internal controls and identify efficiency opportunities.
- Document and implement process improvements.
- Support the annual external audit process.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; CMA/RA is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of professional accounting experience (transactional and analytical).
- Suitable as a second or third career step.
- Experience in Retail, Logistics, or project environments preferred.
- Skilled in financial and ERP systems (e.g., Exact), and advanced Excel proficiency.
- Knowledge of transfer pricing.
- Familiarity with Dutch GAAP, US GAAP, or IFRS.
- Experience with Power BI or QlikSense.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Knowledge of Lucanet consolidation processes preferred.
