Envirogen Group is seeking a meticulous and proactive Italian and English speaking Senior Finance Assistant on an Interim basis to join our finance team. in Zandaam. This will be for a period of 6 months to cover Maternity Leave.
In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the daily operations of the finance department, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports.
Your responsibilities will include managing the purchase ledger, processing payments, handling supplier reconciliations, and supporting month-end close tasks. You will also be involved in budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of financial processes. Experience with accounting software, particularly Sage X3 is preferred, along with the ability to work harmoniously within a team to achieve common goals.

Requirements
- Italian and English speaking
- Proficient bookkeeper
- Experience of accounting in Italy
- Familiarity with RIBA and "invoices in anticipation" would be helpful but is not essential
- Experience of Italian VAT and corporate taxes
- Familiarity with Italian labour laws
- Experience with Sage X3 accounting software products, but not essential
- Proficiency with Microsoft products, e.g. Excel advanced level
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Innovative self-starter with the ability to embrace change
- Collaborative team player with the ability to connect with employees at all levels; easily and effectively interacting and working with senior management and staff
